Why Concierge?

As a healthcare providers in Newport Beach for twenty-five years, Dr. Kroll and Dr. McConnaughey have witnessed the evolving challenges faced by both patients and physicians. Patients have difficulty accessing their doctors or obtaining appointments. Visits are often short and hurried, and do not allow for all needs to be addressed. Conversely, insurance reimbursements continue to remain stagnant or decline, forcing most private practices to close or become part of a hospital or private-equity-owned system.

In 2019, Dr. Kroll established Concierge MD, her platform to navigate this dynamic healthcare environment. In 2025, Dr. McConnaughey assisted Edinger Medical Group in developing a similar membership platform called “Enhance.” One of their greatest joys is getting to know their patients personally and spending the quality time necessary to evaluate, educate, and partner with them.

Patients may schedule a single consultation. Members who sign up for a 12-month package will have full access to our practice through a dedicated concierge line, with emergency availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are contracted with most PPO insurance companies. Drs. Kroll, McConnaughey and Aileen charge a separate concierge membership fee but will bill your insurance for all medical care delivered. We are not contracted with Medicare, Medical, or HMO plans.
